Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated Postdoc Research Associate to join the laboratory of Dr. Jun J. Yang at St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Successful candidates will work on projects related to leukemia genomics and pharmacogenomics. Our laboratory combines computational biology analyses of large genomic datasets with mechanistic studies using in vitro and in vivo model systems to dissect the cellular and molecular pathways underlying leukemogenesis and leukemia drug response.

The successful applicant will have opportunities to develop new skills and work in a world-class scientific environment with full access to cutting edge tools and technologies. This is an ideal opportunity for an enthusiastic experimental biologist to ask fundamental and innovative questions in cancer biology and take that information to develop novel therapies for children with these catastrophic diseases while working in a lab with a robust track record of success.

As a postdoctoral fellow, you will interact with leaders in cancer and translational research within and outside the institution and at national/international meetings. Innovative research will be supported by the PI with the goal of providing postdocs flexibility and freedom to develop their research programs.

St. Jude provides a highly interactive and supportive environment for researchers’ career development and has been named to Glassdoor’s Best Places to Work 2018. St. Jude is a top-ranked hospital (#1 for pediatric cancer specialty in the U.S. in 2017) and a world-class basic research institute with 260+ faculty members. St. Jude postdoctoral fellows are provided with a highly competitive salary in an affordable city, a professional development allowance ($1,875), and an array of benefits, including sign-on bonus, health, dental and vision coverage, and a retirement program.
