The Chen Lab studies the transcriptional regulation of nuclear receptors and drug–metabolizing enzymes and their roles in tumorigenesis and cancer drug resistance, while members of the High Throughput Bioscience (HTB) Center (directed by Dr. Chen) work together on drug discovery technology development, therapeutic target discovery, assay development, laboratory automation, and high-throughput screening.
The postdoctoral fellow will work in gene expression/cancer drug resistance/chemical biology research areas, with a focus on investigating compound mechanism of action. The Chen Lab/HTB Center emphasizes motivation and dedication to multidisciplinary research, prepares and trains members of its team well for career growth both within the St. Jude organization, and in academia or pharmaceutical industry.
The successful candidate will work in a collaborative and multidisciplinary environment by collaborating with biologists, chemists, structural biologists, and technologists (https://www.stjude.org/chen).
Highly motivated individuals with a strong publication record are encouraged to apply. The successful candidate will have a strong background in cell biology and molecular biology, extensive experience in transcriptional regulation, and a strong interest in learning and implementing cell-based high-throughput screening. Candidates must have (or soon receive) a PhD degree.
