The Laboratory of Dr. Shengdar Q. Tsai is seeking outstanding, highly motivated, and creative candidates for a fully supported postdoctoral fellowship in one of two areas: 1) to develop potentially curative CRISPR-Cas gene editing strategies in human hematopoietic stem cells for treatment of sickle cell disease and 2) to define safety of cancer immunotherapy genome editing targets in human T-cells.

In this position, you will gain extensive experience and training in gene editing, protein engineering, and high-throughput genome biology.
Successful applicants will have a strong publication record, excellent communication skills, and a Ph.D. or equivalent degree in molecular biology, cell biology, genetics, genomics, hematology, or a related area. To succeed in this position, you will have a strong molecular and cell biology background, with an emphasis on molecular cloning and genetic manipulation of mammalian cells. Applicants with experience with human hematopoietic stem cells or T-cells, genome editing, next-generation sequencing, or automated liquid handling are strongly encouraged to apply.
