  • Summary

    The Yang Laboratory is seeking two creative and highly motivated candidates, one biologist and one chemist, for fully NIH supported postdoctoral fellowship studying the epigenetic functions in solid tumors and leukemia. The major interests of the lab are to study how alterations of epigenetics causes cancer progression and therapy resistance, and to develop novel inhibitors to target epigenetic modifiers. This is the chemist position. 



    • Optimizing lead compounds targeting histone demethylases
    • Designing and conducting organic chemistry experiments
    • Analysis of biological data to establish quantitative structure-activity relationships
    • Application of modern medicinal methods (structure-based ligand design, synthesis of substance libraries, interpretation of physiochemical and ADME data)

    Minimum Education

    Successful applicants will have a doctoral degree in organic, medicinal chemistry or related.
